Mr. Hobbes was in Ames last week. He mentioned that he is alternating his game time introduction from year to year. He will
be using Iowa State University this next year.
He is also not surprised that Dan was let go this year. He has great
respect for Dan and thinks he is a great motivator, but as he put it "not a very good game coach".
He said he would like to get out of the New England area. The people are not very friendly. He would like to play for the vikings or
the Texans. He still loves the Cyclones.
I like to see him play across from Samuel. If he leaves, hopefully Ellis can follow him (unlikely). As the season progressed, they were quite the cornerbacking duo.
I wonder how many more players will be joining Ellis and saying DM wasn't a good game coach. When I read this, I thought--can't wait to see what our new coach can do. And, I will be so happy not to be able to call the plays before they are run. I hope it takes years, maybe never, before I can do the same with the new coaching staff.
I'd love to see Ellis in purple. God knows they could use him.

Clone to the Bone with the up and coming IOWA STATE.
Hasn't Ellis talked highly of the New England area in the interviews he has given? The people out there love him. His name is Hobbs, not Hobbes...
You have to talk good about the place you play on tv(unless your T.O.), even if you hate it with a passion. Hed get run outta town. I think hes somewhat of a fan favorite out there. Hed make a lot less money if he starts dumping on NE all the time.
Agreed they could use anyone but it would be awesome to see my favorite Cyclone alumn playing for the Purple and Gold
Its not so much the def. thats lacking as much as the QB. I hope Jackson ends up being good, but we could use Plummer next year or Garcia. I cannot believe I just said those names
You gotta love Ellis Hobbs. He is very proud to be a Cyclone. Wasn't EH the one who said "THE Iowa State University" on Monday Night Football.
I had 50 yard-line, 3rd row seats behind the New England bench at Arrowhead two years ago. EH walked by during pre-game and we yelled "Iowa State!!" He stopped talking to his teammates long enough to look up and find us in the crowd. Didn't have anything for him to autograph.
Selfishly I would like to see him with the Chiefs. I just loved that guy as a Cyclone. I think GC's defenses will feature more like him - players playing with a passion.
