No, Curtis it's not crazy, your team had a subpar season and didn't make any post season play. You should have came back for your Senior year and raised your stock.

Let it go... They wanted to go make some money. Playing Basketball every day and getting paid wouldn't be a bad way to go. Especially when you have others to support. NBA or overseas they still get paid, and paid well.

I suspect that both Stinson and Blaylock had agents telling them how good they were, and that they were a lock for the early second round. The unfortunate situation for both of them is that a year under Greg McDermott would have done wonders for them getting drafted next year with better fundimentals and defence.

I doubt you would be saying this if he was returning for his senior season. Stinson is a solid basketball player who is really motivated to succeed. Please lay the bitterness aside.

You better check stinson&#39;s stats before making claims like that. He nearly had as many assists during his time here at ISU as Blalock. He did well in Steals too. He was also the teams best rebounder (although that may speak more towards our lack of big men than anything else).

People sell Curtis too short. He acrtually was getting better at shooting, his decision making was fairly good until he got too gfar behind in games, he worked the fast break well, he has a second gear that he uses sometimes, he jumps 28 inches, he is muscular and can break through a crowd, he can shoot the tear drop. Yes, he is not classy, but he gets the job done. WM let him do his own thing, yet under another coach like Rick Carlisle we might see another side of Curtis. He has big heart and he is willing to take the tough shot. He can rebound beytter than Will because he follows the ball. He can slap the ball away from players inside on a double team. I do not think he was forced to play that much defense as our big guys were so pathetic last year that he had to help out. If McD does anything, he needs to get the bigs to take charges and to make some hard fouls. We do not want to be called the Too Soft Clones. Curtis is not as athletic as Will, but he can get the job done. I know his shooting will pass Tinsleys perimeter shooting very soon. Yes, he is only 6-3. Most of the early guards were 6-5. I also believe he can pass the ball very well. And he is strong in the upper bbody. GO CURTIS.

I wasn&#39;t try to start a Stinson bashing thread. He&#39;s a hell off a player just wasn&#39;t ready for the NBA in my opinion.

What is mean of me is that I&#39;m happy he was proved wrong. Horrible I know, but can&#39;t help it.

ill start a stinson bashing thread, he does blow at passing,yeah he put up good stats and so did mike gansey so did pitsnoggle there not getting drafted because there not good nba prospects, hes like eric crouch yeah he put up great stats in college, i doubt hed ever do anything in the pros, if curtis was coming back next year id pray he wasnt the leader of the team, that guy is a poor leader, a poor shooter,he never really ever improved himself,his bests years were when some1 else was the leader like,vromen,homen,or sullivan.

I, for one, think it will be interesting to see Curt as a role player instead of the star. He was probably the best player on the team last, and WM let him go do what he wanted with the team and with himself and how he played. I think that if Stinson is a role player, his positives would show more and his negatives would be hiden a lot better. The ability to pull in a board (+) and the cluthch, winners mentality(+) will show as a backup or as a lesser-known player. But things like bad decision-making late in games(-) wouldnt be an issue because he wouldnt likely be the one the team would go to. I think if a team gives stinson the chance he deserves, he could turn some heads.

You&#39;re absolutely right&#33; Anyone who tries to hang the "he didn&#39;t have any big guys" excuse is drunk. There was no leadership and no heart. Frankly, he never made anyone around him better. Yeah its been said before and should be said again. And again. You can also blame that WM enabled him to be that way....but he and all the others who transferred &#39;came to play for WM&#39; and play And-1 ball. Which, everyone pay attention here, isn&#39;t the kind of basketball that succeeds in winning unless you have early-90&#39;s UNLV ball....and our hired guns were not THAT talented.
