Brock Jacobson is probably leaving to go try out for a junior high girls basketball team if he listens to all the crap he's taken on here. Seriously, I'd have a hard time picturing anybody taking off next year (outside of Gray). I wouldn't be shocked, I just can't think of who would have a good reason to.

The whole rumor actually started from McDermott on his call in show a few weeks ago... They were talking about recruiting and Mac said all his assistants were on the road looking at 08-09 guys and maybe even one for next year. Walters probed a bit on that point and Mac said you never know, there are many circumstances where a player may leave a program and you need to replace them with someone who can make an impact, especially if you know it's coming...

If they want someone to walk-on that badly and they don't have a scholly available, there could be rumors in the locker room of someone thinking of leaving the program, and if one becomes available, they could offer a scholly. However, you can't really say "we'll give you a scholly" if you're maxed out already. I wouldn't be surprised at this scenario actually, but who would leave, or be wanting to? I have no idea.

Well, I can tell you that the person is a point guard. I don't know if that's an indication of who could be leaving or the amount of confidence our staff has in our current point guard. But I don't think they would be in as much contact with this person as they are because they were desperate for a third string PG.

Has to be a scholarship player. Cannot be Jessan or Chris. Probably not Rahshon. Maybe Jiri. Cannot be Curry, Mike Smith, or Brock as they walked on. Could be Cory Johnson. Do not think it can Corey M or Wesley J. It could be Dodie. Ross and Alex are from Ames so I do not think them.
It must be either Cory J or Dodie or Jiri.
My guess would be Dodie

Dodie is more of a point guard than Cory J

I'm guessing its either Jiri or Cory Johnson. There have been rumors of GMac recruiting some big guys, which would make sense if one of those two transferred. Dodie will stay, I'd be extremely surprised if it was him. C-Mac and Mikey Taylor wouldn't transfer with only one year of eligibility left. Wesley loves it in Ames.

This is all speculation. What proof or evidence do you have that ANY player is going to leave. Jiri has one year of illegibility left, and he doesn't have enough talent to make European ball. I doubt Dodie, Corey, and Wesley leave considering they all have some good playing time and work hard under G-Mac. Cory won't leave because he didn't leave when the coaches were switched. I just feel this is all speculation and rumors, and this post should just be dropped.

A point to remember is that most European leagues have a rule that you can only have two players on a team from outside Europe (i.e. you can have only two American Players.) Jiri being from Prauge and all won't have to fight with other American players for a roster spot.
