MLB: Best division?

Which division do you think will be the strongest this year and will ultimately win the World Series?

Feel free to post the exact team think.

Re: MLB: Best division?

I think the AL Central is as deep as any division. With 3 or 4 legitimate playoff threats. Ultimately though, I see the Twins winning the division again and going on to represent the AL in the World Series.

NL East only because they have the best team in baseball. New York Mets baby should be the reigning champs. Lets Go Mets!!!! There isnt better young players than David Wright and Jose Reyes

AL Central BY FAR....White Sox, Detroit Tigers, and the Twins, NOT to mention that the Indians and the Royals should have better showings this year. The NL is going to have a tough time this year.

Re: MLB: Best division?

AL Central by far, as the same 3 teams will be going at the title again and don't forget Cleveland has only gotten better from a team that was predicted to finish first by many last year, and has one of the best pure hitters (Hafner) around...
Unfortunately, I think the Yankees have done right by their team finally, using young studs mixed in with vets and will be the team to beat in the AL. NL is a total toss up because every team has such big holes, including those chokin' Mets who can't find a decent pitcher without an AARP card to start a game these days!!! So I'm going to go on a limb and say the Phils end years of frustration and get to the series. But as a life long Cubs fan I'd love to see the team gel quickly, Pie shows he can hit in the majors and play CF for us, and Prior stay healthy... but I think it'll be lucky 100 for next year when the Cubs do it!!!

I think once again, like last year, an AL central team better than half of the rest of the teams in the playoffs will not make the wild card spot. They should take away the playoff birth for the NL west winner, and give it to the AL as another wild card spot.

NL West because all we will see will be Barry Bonds this year. It will only be strong in being shown a lot on TV.

Re: MLB: Best division?

NL Central is in second but where are the supporting arguements? I think It was a weak division last year and will be stronger this year not because of the Cardinals but because the Cubs and Astros made some big moves and the Brewers are a young team on the rise.

AL Central is my vote.

The Cubs drag down the NL Central to the position of worst in baseball every year.

After reading some of your posts public, I think you may be my nemesis. You can't stand everything that essentially makes me, ME!

That being said, AL Central by far. I see CWS, MT, and CI all trading the lead in the division throughout the season, and at least two of the three getting into the play-offs.

Through the fire and the flames we'll carry on.

What about Morneau and Mauer? Reigning AL MVP and first ever catcher batting champ doesn't sound bad to me.
