New look uniforms coming....

I would've liked the idea of gold helmets once upon a time, but unless JP is going to revamp the whole logo package, I don't see that happening. Not so sure any of our current logos would look good on gold. All that having been said, I'm starting to want the navy blue accent to go away and stick with cardinal and gold. And that will only happen with a logo revamp.

I think we should go w/ Yellow as the primary color, w/ wide white letters, socks, facemasks... just a little red for trim in the logo on the helmet and outline the letters... I'll draw it up quick....

I dont see why this keeps coming up really... Pollard has said it more than once that the uniforms will remain the same... and we didnt go to a bowl game this year, they replace the jerseys when we do get a bowl game and the players get to keep the old ones.. So i just dont see any logic in us spending cash on a new uniform, the players like the current uniform and we have only had them since 03, red on red since 04... Maybe it is true, but with Pollard saying that its not happening so many times, then i just dont see it happening, were trying to take it to the next level on the stadium, maybe when the stadium is renovated, then maybe just maybe we could pan out for a new look. but thats just my .02

so when do you think they will release these jerseys to the public? spring? summer?? will they wear them for the spring game???

I've seen that one...and it ain't pretty. In high school 2-a-days, starting center Don Shell split the croch out of his shorts. Of course, the assistant coach, Fat Chuck, insisted that the starting QB take a snap before Shell was dismissed to grab a new pair. I think the dude still has a smile on his face...

I was told the exact same thing by two different people at the basketball game tonight. I was told that while the jerseys are "more or less" staying the same, we're getting gold pants. There is also a throwback event in the works for the Iowa game- both teams are apparently going to be wearing their 1977 uniforms to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the ISU-UI series starting up again.

You are way exceeding my software capabilities and skill level now...

Our logo has too much white and navy to really go well with yellow or gold, in my opinion. Unless they use the punching Cy without any lettering, which I could get into. Don't ask me to mock that up...I'll fail miserably.

Who knows...I'm anxious to see if they do get new ones.
