Jay Boulware to become Chizik's Running Backs coach
Utah tight ends and co-special teams coordinator Jay Boulware will leave the Utes to become the running backs coach for Iowa State University. The Cyclones recently hired former Texas defensive coordinator Gene Chizik as their head coach, he is expected to name Boulware to his staff this coming week. Boulware spent two seasons at Utah and was a big part of their recruiting pull in the state of Texas. He recruited within the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro-plex, as well as central and east Texas. Prior to joining Utah, Boulware was the running backs coach for Stanford in 2004, as well as spending three seasons with Arizona.
Re: Jay Boulware to become Chizik's Running Backs coach
Boulware was sought by Rocky long at New Mexico also....he interviewed here about same time Chizik was talking to him. Actually he probably had a better job at UNM (coordinator) but followed the money and the Big 12. Chizik out recurited UNM..................IMO another example ISU is assembling a outstanding staff. Boulware is an outstanding recuriter, he was responsible for over 11 recurits for the UTES
