spoilers?

just read this over on cfn.

not a whole lot but you gotta love the fact that cfn usually has good things to say about ISU. hopefully theyre underestimating us a bit and we will contend.

Re: spoilers?

Yeah, CFN is almost always unusually pro-ISU. They criticized the team for blowing the two chances they had at a North title, but still sympathized with them and the fans saying that "what the good people of Ames have had to endure, we wouldn't wish upon our worst enemies".

I'm already fantasizing over big upsets over Texas or Oklahoma this year -- could you imagine how nuts Jack Trice Stadium would be post-game?

Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.

The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success.

This is Cyclone Football.

Re: spoilers?

I tend think these guys usually discuss general college football better than any of the major sports websites or networks. (pro-ISU or not) I've followed the cfn website for years and while I think their analysis and knowledge of players and coaches is usually better than anyone except the local media, their predictions couldn't be further off. The years they pick us to do something are usually the worst. The clones have gone up and down plenty of times (and would have to be a tough team to predict for the national media) but I can remember plenty of predictions where the outcome was the exact opposite. Can you say motivation?
