high school wrestling

state finals are on tv right now, and i was very disappointed to see that a kid from akron westfield was winning his finals match. not that i have anything against akron westfield, but a couple of months ago, he was busted for smoking some wacky weed. last year was busted for drinking, and the year before that, he was caught driving a car on his home teams football field and tearing ruts into it. in my high school, the first offense would have got me a 6 week suspension, the second would have been a year, and the third would have been a career ban from extra curricular. its pretty impressive someone can be that good at something without taking good care of himself, but i don't think that sets a good example for the state. if this kid was some nobody, his *** would have been kicked off the team a long time ago. where have all the morals gone? that being said, for those of you who don't know much about wrestling, i suggest you find these matches on tv tonight and watch. great chance to see some great matches.

Prairie Valley High School just crowned its first ever State Champion 1A 119 lbs. OT decision. Congrats to Travis Taylor (JR. Cael should recruit him). PV started wrestling when I was in middle school. approx 1994.

i believe it has always been on iptv. not sure why it is on fox now. iptv is showing some god awful british "humor" right now. the only thing funny about those people is their busted grills.

Ohp, just found it. It's on Channel 9 (CW?) for Mediacom in Ames. I forgot this was also a local channel as I was going through all of them (even Mediacom Connections) and couldn't find it. THanks for the attempted help though BET.

Great coaching, for sure.

Wrestled against Don Bosco every year and not once was it enjoyable.

Wasn't this the first time in school history they won back-to-back state titles? I also think Don Bosco has a lot of farm-boys in that school, and it's a lot harder to wrassle a pig to the ground.
