Gas: Over/Under/Even?

The wife and I were watching a movie over the weekend and one line from it was...

"The average person passes gas 6 times per day."

Now I have no idea if this is accurate or not, but it should be fun to have a gassy CF poll.

So are you over, under or even with the supposed 6 bombs a day?

Be honest!

Oh my my my, the places this thread may go!

Well, being a big fan of Mexican food it's safe to say I'm at least even. I may have to do some research and keep track for a day just to be sure.

Re: Gas: Over/Under/Even?

I personally would like to have seen a higher number option, like say, 20...I dunno. I feel like I may a bit more gassy than the norm.

I'm a teacher, and one of my favorite things to do that gets me through the long and stressful days is to walk up and down my rows of students. I will often pass gas on one side of the room and walk to the opposite and observe their reactions, which generally includes them blaming each other and pointing fingers while I get away scott-free. I know what you're thinking...what a life! I'd say I'm pretty blessed.

Does it count if you blame it on the dog?

I second that. When I'm with gf- under. As soon as I can get away- I make up for it...

Re: Gas: Over/Under/Even?

I'm very rare in that male way when it comes to this...i bet women pass gas just as much as men, but men seem to be more public about it...which i guess is usually good. I am under though...I'll have days where it'll be more than usual, but I have a very strong stomach and not much really seems to cause gas for me, not even mexican food (WHICH I LOVE).

I LOVE this topic btw, lol...thnx for starting a great discussion deuce-deuce.

Haha, very great topic. I would say depends on what I eat!

That's a very good question. I'm going to go rig my pedometer with a fan, and I will tell you tomorrow.

Actually, Dr. Oz on Oprah has said the average is higher--closer to 14 or 15 times each day.

The difference with your over/under lies in number of attempts. You can attempt to do it more and make it a production. Or, you can do it politely, away from others and in the bathroom.

Re: Gas: Over/Under/Even?

Here is how I am.

Church-under (the sound is not pretty echoing off the pews)
School-slightly under
Watching TV-even
Going out for mexican greasy food-over
Around Hawkeye fans-astronmoically over

And like any good production, it is always better with a great ****** and a captive audience!
