It's time for the 2006 NCAA season. Football.com has voted on the top 40 teams for 2006, but be sure to check back each day for a new preview in our countdown. Starting with #40 on July 3rd and finishing with #1 on August 25th.

looks like ISU should be on friday the 7th. cant wait to c what they have to say about this years squad. i think 36 is about right, maybe little higher like 30th would be ideal.wonder where most mags would have us if we hadnt lost matt and jb?

I'm surprised to see Nebraska all the way up at 16, I don't think they should be any higher than 20. 36 is about right for ISU, but Texas A&M ahead of us is pretty ridiculous. I don't think they've really made any improvement over their team last year, so I don't know why they're getting that sort of ranking.



Iowa at 19 is probably the lowest I've seen them at in any of the preseason rankings out so far. Of course we'll be knocking them out of the top 25 in September.

CFN has their Nebraska preview today. They are drooling over the Huskers right now. It's going to be a tough game when they come to town.

no ohio st still has troy smith there qb and ted ginn jr. Who will be taunted as nations best wide out. I dont get the hype for the nebraska.
