CFN.Scout.Com is starting to get some predictions rolling for next season and usually do a pretty good job with their guesses. If you check out http://cfn.scout.com/2/621059.html scout picks a team from each conference that won't compete for the conference race, but will definitely have an impact or as put in the title, a "pain in the butt."
I find it interesting that we're getting any credit at all after the disastrous season last year, but I think others are beginning to reallize that we've got some talent at Iowa State, and with Chizik at the helm could do some damage pretty soon. In the article they actually think we may "screw up Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and/or Missouri." Now that's a pretty bold statement if you ask me, but who knows. I think it's hard to know what to expect of next years team, but why not expect the best? I guess we'll just have to wait another 6 months.

That is a very bold statement, I love it! That aside, what's with CFN's eternal, undying love for Iowa State? They're the one publication that seems to always be on our side.

I like to read the articles on CFN because like you said they seem to give us love for some reason. I think they are pretty reasonable about all of their predictions and don't fall into the trap of all the hype involved with college football.

Nice article! I'll take this a step further and say not only does CFN always seem to give us some love, but especially the author of this article, Pete Fiutak. Fiu was one guy who felt our rage after the 23-3 whoopin' two years ago when Big Brother was STILL ranked ahead of us afterwards! Anybody know his background, is there any particular reason Pete always gives us some love?

Yeah, our team didn't play physical at all last year, really. But from what I hear, Chizik is MUCH harder on the players in terms of working out and how much they work than Mac was... and don't flame me about Mac, because this is coming from a player who has one of my friends as a tutor.

I would like nothing better than to knock off Bobby Stoops and Oklahoma at home next year...we haven't really been competitive with them the last several outings...

I have a friend who waited on some of the players at Old Chicago, and thats exactly what they said. They also alluded that Chizik is much tougher on behavior/attitude.

Won't it be fun when we start beating people we are not supposed to.
Other than a couple wins against Iowa, Mac was never able to do that. And that's why he's a DC in Florida.

Can we rub Bobby Stoops face in the snowdrifts. Okay we me. He would be one unhappy camper if he lost to us in Ames. Texas would also be happy.
