Your favorite March Madness moment.
This is definitely mine.

Re: Your favorite March Madness moment.
1. "They're going to the sweet sixteen." Pete Taylor call when we beat Cincy.
2. Marcus Fizer kicking a folding chair in disgust during a 2nd half time out when we let Central Conn. St. I believe back into that game. I was about 20 fee away. When we beat Auburn later that weekend, Larry walked off the court pumping his arms at the fans. Having too much to drink at a strip club later that evening.
3. Hornacek dropping that late 3 on Miami in Minneapolis. Being in the press room with Johnny, Grayer and Hornacek after they beat Michigan later that weekend.

Re: Your favorite March Madness moment.
i can think of my least favorite... anyone got a video of the double foul that was called in the MSU game in 2000?

Re: Your favorite March Madness moment.
Well I hope that the Northwest State shot gets as much play as that little Tolliken character coach from Hampton gets every year.
I am still a sucker for Bryce Drew's shot, whenever ESPN Classic plays that game I will stop what I am doing to watch the ending.
As far as Iowa State moments, Hornacek's 30 footer, Grayer's baseline move against Michigan that almost caused Billy Packer to scream, Larry waving his arms to the 30,000 Iowa State fans in Minneapolis.
Then we all sat and watched UCLA put on a dunking exhibition against Maryland, and all week all we heard was that they were going to kill us, and finally, exercising that demon (0-3 against UCLA in the tournament, especially the game in San Antonio which I was at and caused the longest most quiet drive home in history), when Jamaal almost had a triple double. I still remember the step back three he knocked down in Earl Watson's face.

Re: Your favorite March Madness moment.
My favorite non-ISU or Iowa moment has to be when Bo Kimble shot his lefty tribute freethrows for the late Hank Gathers. That was a fun team to watch when they played together.
Forever trying to find a cure for the Dunning-Kruger Effect. -

I don't think it should matter. An opinion is an opinion. I love both!

Also watching Antonio McDyess for the first time in the tourney just lighting people up - I don't even know what team he played for (on the Pistons roster now). Those knee surgerys killed his vertical, he used to SOAR.

Drew's was a thrilling one... -
Re: Your favorite March Madness moment.
Now, was Drew the player that once he hit the shot, dove on his stomach and skidded across the floor and his teammates pilled on top if him? I don't think so yet can't recall the team/player.
It's one of my fav. moments though - the kid skidded on his stomach for what seemed like forever and was completely pilled upon by his team. I'm shocked the guy got up once they all moved away from him.
You don't see mayhem like that in any other month of the basketball season.
The Chris Webber no-call travel around mid-court followed by the illegal timeout in the title game was sure memorable too.

Yup, that's the image I remember. As I recall now, it was a team in gold too.
Thanks for the photo!
