What I like best about Cyclone Fanatic
There are a lot of things I like about this site, but I think one of my favorite things is the lack of Hawks, Huskers, Jayhawks, Buffaloes, and others lurking about. This is probably due to the fact that this site is not part of a national network like Rivals, etc. where anybody with a membership to their own team's board can come post on ours.
I just read through 3 pages of comments about the Iowa/Penn State game, mostly ripping on Iowa, and I realized there wasn't one Hawk fan screaming about "little brother syndrome" or the like. Sure we sometimes get in tiffs with each other from time to time, but it rarely gets as out of hand as it did on other sites with fans from other teams!

Being so far away in Houston, it keeps me up-to-date with cyclone news. And I also agree it's a nice place to chat without those "other guys."

Amen to the lack of lurkers here. I've always wondered what special breed of A-hole goes to another fan base's website and slams them on a continuing basis. Like the few jerks I see at Hilton wearing their Hawkeye jacket when we're playing someone else.
There's also less slamming of each other on here than most boards. Some other boards, not just sports boards, make you wonder how some members are smart enough to operate a computer.
The off-topic subjects here are great too. You just don't find anything half as interesting on the other Cyclone boards--whoops, I almost mentioned them by name.

I like the fact that CF members are not obsessed with knowing if our discussions originated from one of those 'super confidential', 'top secret', 'only found here' sites that still can't come straight on the failed paper venture that some of us got stiffed on.

I was going to add that CF doesn't collect your money for access AND a magazine, and then "forgets" to make the magazine. And STILL claims to be run in a "moral" fashion. Last time I checked, that would be called fraud.

I love the fact that we have members here that are followers of every sport ISU has to offer. A big thanks the the CF members that were keeping us up to date yesterday during the wrestling match. Due to poor media coverage I have now resorted to coming here first if I'm looking for any new that is not basketball or football related.

They go to Hilton to watch basketball because 'The Library'(Carver) in IC would put a person to sleep.
