Conference Standings

I was just checking ESPN.com for the updated Big XII conference standings and something struck me...we could finish in 6th place.

Here are the rankings and who they have left:
Kansas 13-2 v Texas
A&M 12-3 v Mizzou
Texas 12-3 @ KU
K-State 9-6 v OK
Tech 8-7 @ ISU
Mizzou 7-8 @ A&M
OK State 6-8 @ Baylor & @ Nebraska
OK 6-9 @ K-State
ISU 6-9 v Tech
Neb 5-9 @ Colorado & v OK State
Baylor 3-12 v OK State
Colorado 2-13 v Nebraska

So IF, and this is a big IF;
1. We beat Tech
2. Mizzou loses to A&M (we own the tie breaker w/ a better record vs. the North)
3. OK State drops both games

Then we finish the Big XII in 6th place. If OK State wins either of their games (remember they might be without Boggan) then we finish in 7th. Still not bad for a team predicted to finish 11th or 12th this year. Also, make sure everyone goes to Hilton on Sat. to help spark the upset.

7th is quite a bit better than 8th or 9th. If we get up to 7th we avoid KU in the second round. We would still probably play A&M or UT but I don't want to have anything to do with that KU team right now. They are on a serious roll. But I guess we will have to play them eventually if we want to get in the tournament. 6th or 7th would be a good accomplishment for this team.

OK State has not won a Big 12 road game yet this year and both of their games are on the road at Baylor and at Nebraska. Plus they will be without Boggan in the Baylor game.
