Loboclone lives in the southwest US, he now is trapped in Souix center, Iowa. It took 14 hours to fly from Albuquerque to denver to Omaha yesterday. Was to supposed to arrive in Omaha at 4:00 pm got there 10:15 PM........Denver was a mess...........drove from Omaha to Souix City and the "Center" arriving 1:30 AM...............ICE ICE ICE now blizzard warnings. I left 65 degrees and sun for this? Validates why I moved 10 years ago.

It's starting to rain pretty hard in Ames now. Looks like this is one Cyclone who won't be driving to his practicum class this afternoon... | Save us tonight, the last hope for all of us,

And still no classes cancelled? This is ridiculous. I guess we can all break our necks trying to get to a CyRide stop. | Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.
The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success. This is Cyclone Football. |

It's not pleasant in Lincoln, NE this A.M. Girls state BB tourney starts - all highways (including I-80) into Lincoln have been closed. Tournament director just stated that a no-show would be a forfeiture. I understand the logistics, but, a sad time for the girls. |

Here in Carroll, it's coming down hard. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a foot of snow if not more! (Good thing I home-office!)

Out of curiosity, how many people have every had their work cancelled due to weather?

I was there when they crucified my Lord
I held the scabbard when the soldier drew his sword
I threw the dice when they pierced his side
But I've seen love conquer the great divide

Just heard that I-29 is closed from South Dakota to Missouri. A good indicator that western Iowa is closed for the day.
