I have seen alex thompson play many times and I have said this before and i will say it again...He will do just as good as Gray and Hubalek....he will definitely have a better work ethic then Shawn Taggart, out of those 3 i would take either Thompson/Hubalek and then maybe Gray and Taggart
gray and hubalek will never be buckman or boddicker...they were considerably bigger and had big frames, buckman anyway. but you're right they can get that mentality. i think thompson will be a great pickup in the future and will really help our team this season just from practice. with mac's tutilage i would think he can be a great player

I haven't been real impressed with him so far. To say that he is better than our other bigs may be somewhat true, but that doesn't say a lot in my book. The other night he literally took at least five or six steps on his way in to the hoop. It got quite a laugh out of everyone in the crowd. I remember him doing this at times at Iowa as well. I hope that Marsden gets tougher on defense and Jiri figures out that he isn't a perimeter option. Go McD!!!
