Re: Busy day in the NFL...

Plummer gets traded to the Bucs but
later retires so trade is dropped.

Re: Busy day in the NFL...

Hey ISUFan22 or other Dallas fans, Cowboys let drew bledsoe go, of course cuz of the money...he'd be due too much if they resigned that contract. Jerry Jones said Bledsoe was cut strictly for cap reasons, and would like to have him back for a smaller contract, do you see that happening? I personally don't. Which then makes me wonder who the 'Boys will go get as a QB? Bcuz right now Romo is the only guy on there...I really don't like the idea of only 1-2 QB on the roster either...I think 3 is the right #.

Plummer is going to un-retire right?

I can't believe he'd call it a career already ... what class was he? He's younger than Bledsoe isn't he?

Plummer was in the NFL 10 years. He was drafted by Arizona in 1997. Retirement was not official but it sounds like it http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2785459

I don't think Bledsoe will be back. He never really seemed to get along with anyone after he was benched. ESPN has Matt Baker from UNC as Romo's backup, but I would be surprised if they didn't bring someone in with the draft or free agency.

Re: Busy day in the NFL...

Plummer retirement is official, and the trade did go through. TB owns the rights to his contract, but are not giving anything to the Broncos unless he unretires and plays, which then they give up a conditional draft pick.
HOwever, if you had the woman that Plummer has (see 2007 Broncos cheerleader calendar = the girl wearing a #16 bikini) you'd retire where no one could find you too!!!

I don't remember which month she's in, but I'll go home and check it out and edit this if need be...
