Half the interstates in Iowa are closed, including from Ames north. Thats probably for good reason. And yeah, we all now how that commuter students use your best judgment thing works out. So a big up yours to ISU for putting student safety first today.... You know if Jamie Pollard was in charge of this, we wouldn't have a problem. Its just like the sidewalk on mortenson. its gonna take someone dying out there before ISU pulls their head out and does the right thing.

If we, as young adults, weren't so naive, and thinking we won't hurt ourselves or someone else, that may not have even happened. That was a tragic week last year. Didn't 3 students die that same week or week after?

yeah, something like that.
that sidewalk had been needed for a long time. i dunno how many times i saw people walking along the road late at night coming home from the bars. had to always watch out for them in that area with little lighting and no sidewalk. it was only a matter of time before one of those drunk walkers met up with a drunk driver. probably lucky it hadnt happened more often.
