Linebacker Jeremiah Trotter, who played for Chizik at Stephen F. Austin, likes to say he's never seen a coach with more blood vessels in his neck and forehead.:angry6wn:
That's got to be greatest quote in the article. Intense. Sounds like we'll see some action on the sideline good or bad....:yes4lo:
Re: Article about Chizik/Pollard on ESPN.com
Great article. It is nice to see the Cyclones and the future of our program shown in a positive light.

Gotta love a great article from a national source. I think ISU's opponents for the next few years are definitely on guard now. Onward & upward!

I won't be happy with 1-11, as much fun as it is to smoke iowa, that just isn't as big of a deal anymore...
Realistically I think we'll be 5-7...6-6 and a bowl game for GC in year 1 would be an AWESOME achievement.
Re: Article about Chizik/Pollard on ESPN.com
we have the talent to got at least 6-6, and now we should have the coach, the fact that he is going to be gettin in players faces i think will be an eye opener and i think that will really get the team going, what it comes down to is, u win and you dont have to worry about practice, lose.. and practice is going to suck

Realistically!?!?, how is this realistically, we are coming off a 4 win season (all four of which we barely got away with) we play a much tougher schedule with all our home games against programs that were better than us last year, and you know how great we play in road games, AND we had one of the lowest ranked recruiting classes in the big 12 ...:sad9cd:
Realistically is 3 wins will be solid, we go from there for year 2.
A bowl in year 1?!?!?! Give the man a chance, it took DM 3 years to get over the 2 win hump.

want to know the difference? WE HAVE TALENT!!!
im not sayin we should go bowling, but we have the team that has been there and can get there again, how many people wrote us off after the 2-10 year? then the next year we went bowling, just because you have a down year doesnt mean anything

There may be talent there. However, here are the people that are trying to talk themselves into something again. We were 4-8, 1-7 in the league, could have lost all of them. The recruiting over the past 3-4 years has been poor, if Gene wins 6 games this year it will be a miracle.
I just hope that if and when reality sets in, and we aren't very good this year. That if OU, UT, etc come in and run over us we don't see the same "we suck" threads that we saw for the basketball team this year.
And coming off the 2-10 year, we played perhaps the weakest schedule in school history. The North was AWFUL, and we played bad teams from the South. Of course that didn't stop us from losing three games that we should have won.
