Fennelly #1
From the Big 12 game notes following the win over KSU - Bill Fennelly recorded his 16th win in the Big 12 Tournament. He has more Big 12 Tournament wins than any active Big 12 coach.
Iowa State extended their win streak to six games, which is the longest current streak in the Big 12. Iowa State is 5-4 in second-round games.
The #4 seed is 5-5 all-time vs. the #5 seed.
We can't mail this in, but, I like our chances against Nebraska. NU can hurt with multiple weapons, inside and out, especially if they get hot from long range. Hopefully fatique will not be a factor. Last week the team mentioned they would rather play than practice and downplayed the fatigue factor, at least for this round. “We’ve got a pretty good football conference, and we’ve got a pretty good conference overall. We’re still walking around with our heads held high and our chest out, about that.” Paul Rhoads -

So your telling me that not only do they have a mens basketball team at Nebraska but they have a womens basketball team there also? That's weird. I thought they only had football.

Re: Fennelly #1
Fennelly substitued freely yesterday. Foul problems didn't help!
Looked like he was playing to win with just enough.
WE HAVE TO SHOOT BETTER TODAY!
The ISU/KSU game was the lowest scoring game yesterday!

Other than Ronhovde, no one played more than 30 minutes. I didn't get to watch, so, I don't know what Ron's function was that caused him to leave her in so much (38 minutes) - guard Coggins perhaps?

i was listening to the wrap up show after the game on the radio and they brought up a good point, Nebraska may have some nerves going into this game like we did and Kst did yesterday, and that may play into our favor just because we have one game behind us
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -

Lets hope we go out and whip the Huskers by double digits!

I agree. This game is one of the few in the season for which there may be style points. The committee is watching these games and looking good while winning might just get us a higher seed than a seemingly "ugly" win.

I don't care how we win. A win is a win, and a win against Nebraska is even better.
