I love the stragety of NASCAR. I couldn't watch it every day, but I enjoy a good race. Especially the short tracks like Bristol. Time for the creative pit crews to get to work. Heck with taking a turn out of the wedge. Gimme the aluminum ball bat!

Those fans and thier passion make ISU basketball games look like pillowfights... I'm saying this and I don't even like soccer but to say it isn't a sport like basketball and football is ignorant.

I am not sure anyone ever said soccer is not a sport did they?

Nope. I've never watched soccer overseas. To use your reasoning then, is football in the same class since it isn't wildly popular around the world? Cricket is big in many parts of the world. Badmitten is big in China and the far east. Curling rocks in Canada and the northern countries in Europe. Should these 'sports' be listed up with basketball, football, and your entry of soccer?
I didn't say soccer was not a sport. I see 8-year-olds playing it all over the place during the spring and summer. I don't put it in the Lawn Jarts category, but I do consider it more on par with volleyball, track and field, and swimming.

Well I guess i took that out of context, I apologize. Yet in the global sports scope i think soccer would be much higher then cricket, badmitten, and curling. It is the most widely played sport, so I just can't see how it wouldn't be on the same level as football and basketball.

gocubs2118 it makes me sad that you say something like this:
"I am because we wont be able to watch any more Cyclone sports for the next 6 months. Its going to be a long summer."
When ISU has the #2 ranked Wrestling team in the country and has qualified every weight for Nationals which is going to be on TV all day Friday and Saturday....
Not mention the great turnaround the WBB team has had this year....

So who will support Kansas if they are the Number One seed in the land and Ohio State is Number Two No 1 seed?

THE PAST
No time to be depressed. We finished up a lousy football season, a neutral men's basketball season. Life was rough.
THE FUTURE
We await wrestling 15 Mar and the women's basketballl team. Football will be more businesslike and bball will have more talent. Life is good.
