Bertin Sets Career Low in Final Round
HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – No one had a better third round at the Mission Inn Collegiate Invitational than Iowa State's Cedric Bertin as the men's golf team took advantage of several teams' struggles and reshuffled the final standings. The Cyclones shot their best round of the tournament with a 293 to finish eighth with Louisville being the only school able to match that pace in Sunday's action. Iowa State overtook Charleston Southern, Marshall and Eastern Michigan with strong all-around play after trailing the three schools at the conclusion of Saturday's first two rounds. Louisville wrapped up the team title with a 4-under par 860. Marquette's Mike Van Sickle held on to his first-day lead to claim an individual title with a 4-under par 212.
