Blalock had stayed at ISU.......how different would things be right now.
For most of the season, our biggest problem was at the point. Corey came on the show some progress at the end of the season, but lets be honest, Will would have been a big help.

Will would have been a much needed scoring option and a guy that could penetrate the lane. I think he would have flourished in Mac's system and been a 1st round pick this year in a draft that is lacking good PGs.

If he adopts and buys in to Mac's system, he plays like 36 minutes a game. Any points would have been frosting, the stability alone would have been great.

I'm assuming this is for this season, right? I think he would have given us a couple more wins, but not enough to get us above the NISteve.

Hard to believe 4 people still think we'd miss the NIT. Especially considering the Big 12 was down this year.
I am curious are you thinking we are just that bad or that Will would not have made that big of an impact?

He would have helped us, but not gotten us above the NISteve. ISU is looking bright, and without him, we'll get to the final four. Le'ts Go State!!!

We would have finished 4th ahead of K-State in the conference and finished 10-6 in conference, 22-8 overall in regular season play...

but i guess if i had to say somthing i think we would have been on the bubble of getting in
| Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." |

We would have probably won at a minimum 4 more games. Yeah, Will would have made that much of a difference. Will was a true point guard, and a good one. His ability to drive into the paint and draw in the defense and dish it off to our front court would have been huge. Or he could have taken it to the hole and scored himself, or kicked it back out to a guy like Taylor for a 3. Will was strong, which everyone knows we were lacking this year.

Will would have brought us 3-4 additioanl wins. However, I believe Shawn Taggert would have added an additional 6-7 games. Add those two, then we have something.
However....if

Yeah people aren't fans of Taggert since he left, but under GM Taggert would have flourished. Last year he was only a freshman, but he had a great touch around the basket and he could have been a great player (still could be). Jiri had to work on becoming a post player. Tags already had the skills.

I can't believe that people are rating Taggert ahead of Will. Taggert had the worst hands I've ever seen. He was also only interested in himself. I doubt if even Coach Mac could have done anything with him. He was not a team player and IMO would have played very little this year. IN fact I feel he would have quit in the first month and transfered anyway.

Tags liked shooting, could jump, but did not run very fast to get back on defense.

Anxious to see what he does with Memphis in the future, and they are a faster pace team than ISU.
My feelings he was recruited by Morgan with little effort on coaching him. Place him in some structure and you never know. I would b willing to bet, that he will have plenty of structure and competition at Memphis....very young team.
