a bloated piece of piffle that could have used some serious editing. This film had more fat then many of the attendees of this state's fair. While having a good cast...Depp, Bloom, Knightley (no Ms. Clark mind you) they are swallowed up by the CGI overload.
strangely...this film is not unlike Hawkeye football...sells lot's of tickets...is the talk on everyone's lips...is the king of merchandising....but is discovered to be a bunch of hot gas in the end.
This film desires to be "Raiders of the Lost Ark"....but ends more in the realm of "the goonies"

I actually thought it was pretty good. Meaning if you liked the first one, you should like this one too. It was a little long (2.5 hrs) but other than that, it's definitely something to go see.

I want to know why the undead monkey is still undead. It thought the curse had been lifted. I liked the movie alot. I like the mindless action, its fun to watch. Yes it got long but anymore it seems like thats the standard for movies.

At the very end of the first movie, after the credits there is a scene in which the monkey grabs one of the cursed coins out of the chest and turns into a Zombie again.

I thought it was great. I think the first one is just a smidge better, but that's because it was a totally new concept and people didn't know what to expect.
My only complaint about Dead Man's Chest is that some of the plot nuances are a bit hard to follow. I managed to do it just fine, but I heard a lot of other people voicing their confusion. (Why Jones's crew was able to go on land but Jones couldn't was a big point of confusion.)
This one was, if anything, a bit more of a comedy than an adventure. The entire like 20-minute fight sequence that begins over the buried chest is absolutely ridiculous and absolutely hilarious. I enjoyed watching it. If you haven't seen it yet, make sure you stay all the way through the credits...

I went and saw it on Friday night and was really pumped to see it. I thought it was good but not as good as the first one. It seemed to be a lot more sci-fi-ish with all of the sea creatures so that lost a point in my book, it seemed to start off really slowly so it lost another point, and it just didn't seem to flow as well as the first one did. It did gain some points for having a lot of Kiera Knightly scenes in it though:)

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. |

"A Scanner Darkly" matrix Keanu or bill @ Ted Keanu? does it matter?
"Miami Vice" as long as Jamie doesn't warble
"Clerks 2" two words....Rosario Dawson......woooohoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Lady in the Water" could be hit or miss
"Invincible" hey, it's football!
by then...it will be time for the boys to be back on the pitch and the real fun begins! go State!

Whether it was good or not, box office sales set the all time 3 day record at about $150M. No one really knows why, it just looks like everyone wanted to do something other than watch FIFA or Wimbledon or the cycle race.

The beggining was my favorite part. The bird getting blown to feathers...priceless.

I thought that the movie did a good job of retaining respectiblilty for the series, granted it was a bit long but still entertaining. In my opinion all this movie really had to do was not be terrible, get the people in the seats, keep them caring about the series, and then hopefully wrap it up with a great 3rd installment (believe that it is scheduled to be released in 2007). I enjoyed the first and second and am interested to see how they rap it up with the third installment. It should be a wild ride to say the least.

It was OK, too long and a bit windy in stretches. I did, however, like the movie. I hope the third installment is better, more of Kiera Knightly definitely is a must, prehaps she will spend some time with less clothing on.
