Pie day (for you math nerds)
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070312/...e_church_of_pi
Okay, I admit I love math and am a math nerd and enjoy tutoring calculus and such. But this is rediculous. I especially enjoyed the part about there being a "story" or "mystery"....nope...sorry....its just a damn ratio. End of story.
Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

Everybody has got to love a good pi day, but nothing can touch Mole Day on October 26th (Mole=10 to the 26th power). Our chemistry teacher always threw a Mole Day celebration back in the day...talk about your long anticipated fiesta!

Re: Pie day (for you math nerds)
I love math too but reciting 100,000 decimal points in 16 hrs or the other guy memorizing 12,887 decimal points is something beyond extremely bizarre. We need to introduce these people to the Cyclones so they have a worthwhile hobby.
I did have a math teacher in high school who counted every step he took during the day so he could calculate how far he walked. I kept telling him to buy a damn pedometer so he could think about something worthwhile, but he said that took the fun out of it... -

Re: Pie day (for you math nerds)
I am actually going to be using pi today when my students work to find density because they first have to find the volume of a cylinder. Good times

I like pi and pie.
We used to have Mole Day parties too. We'd get snacks and everyone had to tell a Mole Joke.
