I really don't think Wisconsin, Kansas, Ohio State or Texas A&M can be the champ, that leaves me with Gtown, UCLA, Oregon, Florida, Texas and UNC. Or could there be a lower seed champ this year?

Gtown is my pick to win it all. With Green, and Hibbert dominating.

This is the year for the Jayhawks...When they are playing their best, there is no one that can beat them. The question is whether they will play their best? I think they will...

I have to go with Florida, it is their championship until someone takes it from them.
Of course Ohio State got a ridiculously easy draw, so they won't have worked as hard as the rest of the final 4. I just hope that Matta actually tries to coach, then they will lose for sure.

UCLA is my pick. If Kansas doesn't do what they've done the past couple years, and fall walking out of the blocks, they'd have an outside shot too.

It's a good bet Kansas will choke somewhere along the way, but looking at the games they play, I can't figure out where.
so I just picked them to win it all

Got KU defeating Georgetown in my office pool. It will be weird rooting for the Jayhawks!

I personally think whoever wins the UNC/Texas match up if it occurs will be the NC.

In my opinion...
OSU is over-rated
Wisconsin isn't tested enough
Oregon just won't
Memphis doesn't have any quality wins
Texas is too inexperienced
Texas A&M isn't deep enough
G'Town just doesn't do it for me
Florida, UNC, Kansas and UCLA have the most complete teams
UNC and Kansas are about as loaded with talent as any team could be
Florida and UCLA are great teams but sometimes falter on their own
Kansas is hit or miss at times but they're clicking right now
UNC has all the ingredients but hasn't shown consistency against similar opponents
I guess I have to say it's down to Florida, UNC, Kansas and UCLA that actually have what it takes to win it all. The question for me is; who can go the longest without screwing themselves? With so much parity it's incredibly tough this year to say one team has a definite advantage over the rest.
My prediction:
Kansas will survive UCLA and then screw it up against Florida, Florida moves on. UNC will handle G'Town before taking down Texas A&M to move on. UNC wins it all by a score of 84-76.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. |
