After nearly 3 months of working and waiting, I was finally able to take my Christmas gift out of its box. HERE'S a photo of it - a beautiful 50 incher - as well as my tribute to the Cyclones. My wife gave me the green light to paint the logo on the sub-cellar door. Makes for quite the "Cyclone Room!"

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

In two weeks i'm getting an HD projector, 106 inch projector screen, and an 860 watt home theatre sound system. It's going to be like i'm at a movie theatre in my own house. My friend has a system set up similar to this and i fell in love with it and had to have it.

I got my HD flat screen in my room, but its only 26 inches which is GREAT for the Xbox 360, but kinda sucks come movie time... :( I envy your life...lol

You have a slightly bigger TV than I do.... But only by about $20 (at retail, I got mine for only $100). Don't feel bad, unless you're a teacher-to-be like me, you can afford such a TV within about 2 days of being hired!

No need for envy, that TV represents about a year's worth of gifts from my wife 
To create the logo, I printed the logo off on transparency and used an old-school projector to show it on the door. Then traced it with pencil, painted (from lightest color to darkest) and filled in the black with a fat marker.
I'll have to shoot a picture of the "mural" I did in my garage some time. That turned out pretty well too... (Need to clean the garage first!  )
