Also JHudd, whenever I see you post, all I can think of is "Fargo" when the girls are being interviewed by Margie, and they say "I'm from Chaska!!" (In a northern Minnesotan accent.) I really never notice a stong accent on people around here unless they are 50+ or have moved down from the northern part of the state. Also please do not think of my voice like that, I grew up in Williamsburg/Cedar Rapids and have no accent at all, like all Iowans. | "It is the nature of man to rise to greatness if greatness is expected of him." I guess he would treat all of the coaches/athletes for other sports like dirt and act like he was God's gift. He also would just reem his players and cuss them up and down in practice, but as soon as the lights and cameras were on he'd be all smiles and fake. Just helps perpetuate my hatred for all things Duke.

The point guard that beat Duke was from the Duke area. Oh well, Mike maybe he did not have the academics to go to Duke, but he looked great on the bball floor.

Xavier wins on the back of Lavender's big game, not bad for a transfer from OU.

| Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." |

I thought I made the VCU pick on my Yahoo bracket, but I guess not. I was the only person in my Facebook pool to pick VCU. Hoo yeah. | Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...

I jumped for joy and ran around the Other Place in Overland Park when Duke lost. they got all the calls during the game and still lost. It was a great game which is a lot more then I can say about the rest of the first round games.
