VCU came in hot, Duke did not (plus they suck anyway). VCU was another easy pick.
Marquette was a lackluster team all year, MSU however was a very strong Big 10 team. Another easy pick IMO.
And Tech! Why would anybody pick them over a solid BC team? We almost beat Tech for crying out loud!
I was just about to type the same thing, but you said it for me. Indiana and Michigan State were locks in my mind with the injuries to their opponents...not to mention their style of play was not a good matchup for Marquette and Gonzaga. Bobby Knight has been losing first round games with his teams for awhile now.
