AUSTIN, Texas – Karly Pinder was among the top competitors and helped guide the Iowa State women's golf team at the first day of action in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational Friday. The Cyclones fired a 314 to tie for sixth with Iowa and Notre Dame in the 15-team field. Host school Texas has a three-stroke lead over 27th ranked TCU and 24th ranked Arkansas. Longhorn Kelley Louth was 3-under par on the day with a 69 and has the early lead in the medalist race.
