There may be more involved now. Sounds like his heart is set on Kentucky. I would be extremely extremely surprised if we get him.
(But stranger things have happened!)

I would be surprised if we get him but I have heard a lot of things lately about him so I know we are on his short list as of right now. I don't know how many high majors will end up offering but he seems pretty impressed with ISU up to this point.
A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. -
I think im the only one that isnt drooling over him. I dont know, I just dont think the whole jordan name will bring us that much extra stuff.

The only national press Jeffrey Jordan will get while playing at a high-major University is that "Michael Jordan's son is a bench warmer."

My guess is that if MJ showed up to some games, people would fill Hilton just to see him. As lame as that is, you know it's true. So, more tickets bought.
Plus, you have to think that MJ could maybe be talked in to writing a little check that could help the athletic department.

I sure hope this young man gets a scholarship offer somewhere. The financial strain on his family to pay tuition could prevent him from attending the college of his choice.

MJ wasn't exactly a stud coming out of High School either. He worked his *** off to be the best. If JJ has his dad's work ethic he could really become a good player.

That was a great post and a great point. I think it could be cool to have a "Jordan" play at ISU
"Skin it: Skin that smokewagon and see what happens!" -
man that would be cool...we'd get a lot of publicity...but he'd have so much pressure on him
Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!
"The New England Patriots: As annoying as the Yankess, just with 23 fewer titles." -
I'm with some of you...lets pray we get him. Just think from a marketing standpoint Jordan on the back of an ISU jersey! Holy crap man I would buy a 100 myself! It would be an honor even if he may not be the airman himself...remember he still has the genes. I'd give him the ball for the final shot every time anyway...all in the genes!
Plus every and I mean every ISU game would be sold out...just to see MJ himself.

Here's my take on Jeffrey Jordan... Positives - Brings a known name to the program
- He's got his daddy's DNA, who bloomed late
- Even if he rides the bench each week, he and his father will help sell tickets
- Possibility of the elder Jordan making a sizable donation to the ISU athletic fund Negatives
- Not a big-time player, may not be worth a scholarship
- Create a distraction by his father being around, fans more concerned with seeing Michael than supporting ISU
- Pressure on the coaching staff to play Jordan, regardless of his abilities
If anyone has any items to add to either list, please do so. I think that the positives outweigh the negatives. The only glaring negative is the scholarship issue.
Other than that, if Jordan wants to come to ISU, I say go get him!

The only reason we should offer JJ or any kid for that matter is if he is the best guy we can get at the position. If JJ doesn't fit that description, I say we look elsewhere. All this other stuff is crap.

If Jordan played for us, we would be on TV more.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
I think a lot of people are blowing this way out of proportion. If the kid is just a bench warmer, I doubt there will be much buzz after the initial recruitment splash. If he is good enough to play, there would a lot of pressure on him. Iowa State may be a better than a place like Kentucky to minimize the pressure and let him build a name for himself.
