How many times was Jared Homan arrested?

I don't know but let's lynch him! Or we shouldn't make a big deal out of it. Seems to be the responses you will get when you bring up players law troubles. I heard he tried to hide under a car one time he got caught, I think for public intox.

Hiding under a car to avoid police is no big deal, but causing minor damage inside an apartment is a big time crime and an apparent embarrassment.

Is this part true? I always pictured him trying to hide under a Geo metro and the cops found him because his feet were sticking out.

Wow, my roommate did that same thing last fall. The cops saw him crawl under the car and he had his 30-pack wedged trying to fit that under the car with him as well. It was a pretty funny sight.

I heard he had 3 alcohol possessions. Clearly nobody wanted to throw him out. I cant personally say I care if Mike got in trouble for what he did. Sounds like he was just having some fun.
Now on the other hand an OWI is just stupid. Otherwise, I think a lot of us have done SOMETHING stupid while having fun and partying. Maybe its just me.

In my mind the the coach and AD are the main differences between Homan and Taylor situations. My impression is that we are no longer a "win at any cost" team willing to look the other way occasionally (Vroman and his weed comes to mind too). The current regime is going to show that we can win without thugs. And as much as it pains me to say it, I hope Taylor gets the boot. He's already had his second chance and it's time to draw a line for everyone who comes into this program under GMac. This is an opportunity to take a lesson from Steve Alford's Flying Circus.

I think Taylor's full cooperation is helping him out, we will see, McDermott will do what he thinks is best for the team and if he thinks Taylor deserves it. To me it isn't something that warrents him getting kicked off without looking more into it. It isn't an obvious conclusion to come to, whereas some crimes it is like, yea he deserves the boot!

Vroman was a thug? Get serious! He was more of a surfer-dude.

I think some things need to put into perspective. just because someone smokes or drinks doesn't automatically make them a thug. not saying that people (especially scholarship athletes) don't need to take responsibility for their actions, but some things are definitely lesser transgressions than others.

Apparently I was incorrect to use the term thug. I'm not calling any of these guys thugs necessarily. That just happens to be my blanket term for athletes that have marred their reputations by constantly having run-ins with the law.
I understand that the spotlight is on these guys to a degree that most of us non-athletes can't understand, but it's their responsibility not to put themselves in these situations in the first place.

I was friends with Homan freshman year at ISU. He got a MIP in the first month or two there and LE made him run 21 miles as punishment. I know he also got picked up in the VEISHA riot and the time he hid under the car and got a public intox.
