    wow. this is steve alford in a nut shell. not in the spotlight, baby that complains about everything, walks around iowa city like he is god and doesnt get treated like it. i am sure that new mexicans will like that attitude as well!!

    Hmm....maybe Alford could have thought about making Iowa a basketball school first by, dare I say, winning? Nobody likes to watch a team that can't win the big games. He's had plenty of time to make Iowa a basketball school.

    New Mexico has gone through 3 coaches while Stevie was building U of Iowa into a powerhouse. He won't have 8 years at New Mexico.

    OMG!! They passed on Gregg Marshall for Steve Alford?!?!?!

    Good call UNM. If you need help looking for another coach in a couple years, I'm sure Iowa will have one ready for you.
