Rick Majarus

Will be the next Iowa coach. The guy is in love with Iowa and has been giving them tons of love since the Alford rumors started last season. I would not be surprised if he gets the job.

I think his doctors have said "no" when it comes to him coaching again.

Wouldn't disappoint me though from an ISU view - as I highly doubt he'd be there very long.

Remember he owns land for a house over there.

Majerus was on Mike and Mike a couple of days ago and he wants desperately to get back into coaching. I could see him going to Iowa. I hope he doesn't though because I really like Majerus.

Some People see things as they are and say why? I dream things that never were and say why not? When I took this job I said why not Iowa State? Why not winning? Why not bowl games? Why not sell outs? Why not national respect? Why not us? Why not here? Why not the cyclone family?

Majerus to Iowa? Interesting. It sure would increase the connection between the two states of Utah and Iowa. (Utah State: LE, Utah residents: Sandersons and this Majerus...

Re: Rick Majarus

He'd be a decent pick. Big name and good success in the past. He'd get recruits. I question why he wants to live in Iowa so bad, but that's his call. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Rick Majerus said he had a Mom problem at home - how to take care of her....

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.

My Joke-eye fan friends have been saying they want a big name. Majerus is a pretty big one. A lot of people who know very little about college bball know his name. He would bring a lot of attention to EIU.

Well, he would be in close proximity to the hospital over there. Maybe that's why hes so high on Iowa. I hope he takes the job and then backs out last minute like he did with USC.

Panchero's burritos "as big as your head" may be the reason Majerus stays away from IC. On second thought, that may be the reason he goes there.

A million dollars would take me to IC too...and then you could buy all the burritos you want!

Re: Rick Majarus

Majerus loves the attention and in the end has no intention of coaching- including Iowa. The Southern Ill. guy is about as good as they will do.
They are one year late on GMac.

Clone to the Bone with the up and coming IOWA STATE.

I love Majerus. He is funny. A good coach too.

The question is...does IC have a hotel with the kind of room service this guy would need? As you may recall, he lived in a hotel the entire time he coached at Utah!

I would love to see him bring back the "fat coach wearing a sweat suit" look on the sidelines ala George Raveling!

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.
