300-pound lineman Curvey lands role in 'Intimate Apparel'

I know this isn't typical news, but I thought I'd let all of you in the Ames/DM area know about it. Read the story- it's rather good- but long story short: Brent Curvey has the lead role in an ISU Theatre play that runs this weekend.

One of my best friends is a theatre major and is doing a lot of work with this show. I got to see some of a rehearsal a little while ago, and I was surprised. Curvey is a very good actor. I've done quite a bit of acting myself so I know what to look for, and he really impressed me. I really recommend going to see it if you've got an evening free!

The show runs this Thursday (as in tonight) through Sunday. 7:30pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 2:00pm on Sunday afternoon. It's at the M-Shop in the Union. Tickets are $13 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $7 for students.

He's got a newborn kid. Double major. Getting ready for the NFL. And now he's jumping into the thespian game and he's apparently pretty good at it.

That's impressive as hell. My hat's off to him.
