1. Garrett with Brister having plenty of PT
2. Staiger
3. Wesley Johnson and Rahshon pretty even in minutes
4. Alex Thompson and Craig Brackins coming off the bench
quickyly
5. Jiri getting the start but Brackins and Thompson seeing
a lot of the court at the same time
This is assuming Taylor is gone. CJ will get a lot of playing time too, especially if he beefs up more. Not sure about Boozer yet? Maybe he steps into the rotation now that CM & MT are possibly gone.

Clark was a leader on this team and made a lot of sacrafices offensively in order to help this team and as much depth as we should have Clark will still be the defensive stopper and play good minutes one way or another. Wesley really needs to move to the SF spot so he can take people off the dribble and play more on the wing. BIG FOREST
I still think our problem is shooting. Either you penetrate and shoot, pass into Jiri and then out and shoot. This year only Mike seemed capable tof dribbling and passing in traffic. Supposedly Diante and maybe Brister can do the same as freshman. Diante is now 170. Brister is 210. The defense is doable with any number of characters on the floor except for Brock. That drives me to say we need Rahshon to really play much better offense in order to play big minutes. To survive in Big 12, you better be able to score 70 on a given night. We are not there yet for an NCAA bid maybe until 2008-09. And Mike will be graduated. Mike has a take charge mindset. We are looking for that mindset from Dodie. Corey finally saw the light at end of the season. We have just as many unanswered questions next year coming into the season as we did this year. We are still in the Big Forest.

Here is my starting five, assuming that Mike Taylor will not return
PG - Diante Garrett
SG - Lucca Staigger
SF - Wesley Johnson
PF - Craig Brackins
C - Jiri Hubalek
Bench Players - Brister, Dodie, Thompson, Clark, Cory Johnson. All in no particular order
Charles Boozer to redshirt
If Garrett is as good as advertises, he will be in the starting linup. Lucca is a great shooter, and we need a shooter on the floor, plus he has some size. Wesley is way too talented to keep off the floor and he can move to his natural position, the three spot. From what I hear of Brackins, he is a great tallent and is a natural fit for the PF spot. Jiri has the talent to start. With the improvement during last year, just think what McDermott can do with a whole summer of working with him. The bench players will all play significant minutes. Just think of all the depth we will have. We haven't had this much depth since the Johnny Orr days. Boozer is just not ready to play yet and will redshirt.

when we play smaller teams, wesley will play the 4. then the starters will be diante, taylor, clark, wes, the Juri-nator.
against bigger teams: diante, taylor, clark or wes, thompson, juri
I'll start clark because he is a better defender and our senior leader.

Isn't it about starting our best 5? Wesley Johnson did well at the 4 spot this year, and I don't think that starting a Freshman, or a 2.5ppg scorer (A.T) is going to make this team better than starting a 4 year starter. We may be smaller, but rebounding isn't a problem and the quickness outweighs the lack of bulk. Clark and W. Johnson will start next year.

I know people r saying that Thompson is looking great in practice, but thats what all the Iowa fans said too. I am not sold on Thompson yet, i am sure he can come off the bench and produce, but not ready to put him in the starting lineup
PG- Diante Garrett
SG-Taylor(if he stays)
Staiger(if taylor goes)
SF-Wesley Johnson
PF-Craig Brackins
C-Jiri Hubalek

This is just dumb. There is NO way that Clark will not start. He has started the past 2+ years, and he will continue to fill that role. That is just idiotic to think that Clark won't be a huge contributor to next year.
PG - Dodie/Staigger
SG - Garrett (planning no Mike Taylor)
SF - Clark/Wesley
PF - Wesley/Thompson/Brackins
C - Hubalek/Brackins
What is going to happen is a rotate between posts for next year, between SF, PF, and C. But as of now there is no way of telling who will be where for starting positions because these guys earn there spot week to week. But it would be absolutely stupid to think Clark won't start next year. Nobody will replace such a talented and smart athlete as Clark.
Also, Boozer won't redshirt next year if were down McIntosh and Taylor.
