It was a foul, but you have to get the rebound. Add that to Acie's missed layup, and you lose. What a shame, because I think that they could have beaten OSU. Memphis has no chance.

I don't understand them taking the clock down to two seconds. I was thinking along the lines of Raftery, a couple of tenths.

Oh they were robbed beyond belief. 1.1 seconds off the clock for that? At most .2 comes off. Robbery. Fill out the police report, I'll be an eye witness.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. |

What a choke job by the refs, they let Callipari talk them into that.
I didn't see much of the game, but look at the free throw differential, and something doesn't add up.
But at least Rafferty is there to back up the officials like in 2000 during the Michigan State game.

I picked Memphis to go all the way last year, and they choke early. This year, I pick Memphis to choke early, and now they're going to the Elite 8. Dammit all!

When the ball bounced off the floor it was still in bounds. That is where the 1.1 comes from.

Again, clock starts when a player touches the ball.

But if you watch closely the ball hits Calapari very quickly. 1.1 was a joke but did not have any impact on the game.
A&M rebounded well all game til the end. I will stick w/ my stance that you just don't call a chippy foul like that with 3 seconds left in a big game like that

and even that's a stretch They probably thought slo-mo was real-time. That's the only sane explanation. Besides the hummer in locker room from the Memphis coach after the game.

I will stick with my stance that you couldn't pay me enough to ever think about reffing a college basketball game. i still think that Oden should have had an intentional foul called on him the other day.
