I'm still mad about how his NFL career flopped.

All work and no play makes me a dull boy.

Terrance Nunn was impressed with the lady! She caught the cup and did a 180 and ran with it! "Wish I could do that."

I will be glad when ISU accomplishes something on the field so we there can be posts of accomplishments instead of anti Iowa and Nebraska which have won titles on the field.

I've lived in Des Moines for 10 years now and have yet to figure out why Iowa St fans are so obsessed with Nebraska & Iowa. Jealous perhaps? I don't know. What I do know is that There looks to be more threads & posts on this message board regarding Iowa basketball than there is Iowa St spring football.

Ahhh, let the flame-a-thon continue.

You say ISU fans are obsessed with the Huskers. It would be fair to point out, the entire nation has been obsessed with the Huskers. Just like Duke/UNC basketball. USC football. Etc. Fans get obsessed with greatness.

Do ya see ISU fans or those around the nation obsessed with the Huskers as the same level they were say 5-10 years ago? I think not. I wonder why that is...

As far as the number of posts regarding the coaching change in Iowa City...

I think the number of them is silly. Why people can't just add a point they want to make on a thread already on that very topic bewilders me. Then again, it doesn't just happen with Iowa's coaching search - it happens all the time.

Having said that, I saw tons of threads on Iowa's board when we were looking for both our football and basketball coaches. When a rival is searching for a coach, it's a big deal.

Also, Steve isn't just any coach. He's a national golden boy from Indiana that was supposed to be the second coming of Bobby Knight for Iowa. They shoved it down our throats faster than Steve could compliment himself.

So, it's got fans around the area quite interested. Much like when the nation's eyes were on Lincoln after the Huskers fired a coach that had a clear winning record.

A lot of Iowa State fans have that proverbial chip on their shoulders. I also do not understand it.

Also...

When the Oklahoma football players got in trouble last summer, it was hot topic here. When a KSU hoops player got reprimanded, it was discussed here.

I could go on and on.

Husker fans, try not to think you're more special than you really are, mmmmmmmmk?

Yes, I'm sure most of us are so obsessed that we have over 400 posts on Hawk and Husker message boards.

Also, as others have pointed out, the more successful a program is, the more vitriol they receive from rival teams' fans. Would you prefer NU was mentioned here as often as Baylor?

You're the one spending his hours posting on an ISU fan board. I've never even considered looking at a Husker forum. Who's the one that's obsessed?
