I agree, I actually enjoyed that article. I hope they realize their "next" level will include beatings by the Cyclones!

Winners:
Minnesota - for getting Tubby before Iowa had the chance
Barta - dodged the bullet of having to actually make a decision
Iowa State - Now we have something fun to talk about
Losers:
Alford - no reason
New Mexico - What a sucker school
Iowa - Even though they got rid of a bad coach....common its IOWA!

I liked the Pat Harty article better myself because he whines that the two best "replacement" coaches are already gone, Tubby Smith and Greg McDermott! He also pays homage to Jamie Pollard with the comment, "Did JP leave ISU and take over at UM with this quick hiring of Tubby?"

Did anyone read the Rag article today where the players were essentially saying the fan-base is unreasonable at Iowa? I wonder if/how many coaching prospects will catch wind of that and possibly reconsider?

To go with my previous statement, apparently the ball's already rolling, and they Squawks feel that they can still get a great coach after eating Alford (Dr. Tom, Lute) and running them out of town... LINK |

After I actually read it, yes Darts, I do. But I don't think I read it in print, it was between the lines.

I heard Coach K's moving on from Duke to become a Hawkeye. He was quoted as saying, "Their prestige was too much to pass up."
