Deandre not only made it on the CFN top 25 corners...He's in the top 4
check it out http://collegefootballnews.com/2006/Previe...lAmerica_CB.htm -
We must have found the article at the same time - I just posted it over on CN and was 'bout to do the same here.
Good stuff - him getting press. Hopefully he plays like one of the top 5 corners this fall!

That is awesome!!!! Good to see us getting good press. Can't wait to watch him prove it on the field this fall.
I was totally shocked going down the list of 25 top CB's. Noone from EIU made the team. That is a shock since they all think there God's gift to everyone and reading anything from that dark side indicates that there is no position that we can match up with them on their practice squad, let alone the whole Heisman candidate laced first team....

Go visit the Hawkeye board, they know full well they've got a pair of question marks at corner. They have a pair of very nice safties, but lost both corners from last year.
If I had to say who had the better corners - I'd go with ISU. If I had to look at the secondary as a whole, I'd give the nod to Iowa at this point.

Hopefully he can play better in the first game of the season this year...i.e. not getting burned deep twice by a I-AA team and singlehandedly costing us 14 points.....
Not sure why he's heralded as such a great shut-down corner. Ellis was much better and I don't remember him getting this kind of press (maybe he did though).

Ellis's size is what held him back. If he was a bit taller, he would have got a lot more press.

He may not have received the press he deserved in college, but the NFL teams sure noticed him.
And that head coach in New England - doesn't he have a few rings or something? Anywho, that guy sure seems to think Hobbs will be something special.
