Who cares what happens to the hawks

I could care less what the HAwks do or what they want to do. I am concerned about Iowa State and just Iowa State-less we have Iowa on a schedule for that week. They could hire Napoleon Dynamite and I cold care less.

I do care about what happens to the hawks, they are our rival and their athletic programs are on the decline and I love it...they have some of the worst fans in the big 10 and they are getting what the deserved and even ASKED FOR, I am sick of their arrogance in this state when they know they used to be crap when it came to athletics, in some instances worse than ISU was. I LOVE ISU and I would rather ISU thrive than iowa falter...but I am not gonna sit back and say I don't enjoy it, I love watching ISU beat iowa, I love watching UNI beat iowa, I love watching Drake beat iowa, and I always will. I love this whole thing about the university of iowa spending money so its fans can't make "fire______.com" I think its hilarious and shows how stupid they really are. You don't have to care about iowa and you can only care about ISU, and that's perfectly cool, but many people on here, including myself are gonna be "Huck The Fawks" till we die, so you'll just have to get used to it.

I care a lot about what goes on in my state. I want us to beat Iowa so I am interested in how they run their business.

You know ISU purchased www.firebillfennelly.com right? ISU cannot point fingers....

By the way, I hope the Hawks lose in everything all the time. I would prefer ISU go undefeated in everything, but I am a realist.

ok, this just blew my mind that we are this stupid too...I cannot believe this, did we purchase firebillfennelly after what iowa did??? cuz I thought I heard somewhere the u of i was the first college to ever do that.

and then after that I got some other Q's...like why in the hell would they buy one for bill fennelly? does anyone really want to fire the best women's coach we ever had in our history??? especially after another 20+ win season and a 2nd round tourney appearance, where we lost to a REALLY great team.

another Q...when this stuff happens like if iowa buy "firekirkferentz.com"....what the hell is stopping disgruntled hawk "fans" to make a firekirkferentz1.com??? Wouldn't iowa just have to buy out like 5 billion names to stop something like that if people really wanted to do that???

It just all seems so very, very stupid to me...

Pretty stupid, I know! Apparently ISU bought this awhile ago, well before Iowa did. Iowa's was just more high profile.
You are right, any fan could manipulat the name of the website a little bit and have something out there.

Actually I think ISU bought that site a while ago when firestevealford.com first came out (about three to four years ago).

OK. I'm going to start by pointing out my biggest pet peeve ever. If you wanted to say what I think you wanted to say, then you would have said, "I COULD'T care less what they want to do." As in, no matter what they do, you COULD NOT care less. Meaning, you don't care at all.

Back to the topic at hand. I disagree with what a lot of people have said in this thread. The reason iowa is able to claim more in-state fans is because of Hayden Fry. When he came to iowa, he turned the mentallity into either you're an iowa fan, or you're an Iowa State fan. That is why he made the Iowa State-iowa game a priority (for the players, not the media). He was able to turn this into a "hawkeye State" because the hawks were winning games, and the Cyclones weren't.

Now, being successful and wiinning will definately increase the attendance and the fan support for ISU, but if iowa were to be un-successful during an extended period of ISU being successful, then this would truly be a Cylcone State.........
