How long until we become flight tracker pros for the U of I basketball search

I looked today and there is a flight direct from Wichita flying into Cedar Rapids this morning??

I was just perusing the Hawk's rivals board, and there are some there convince Pearl is their next coach because there was a flight from IC to Bristol, TN this weekend.

If I were Bruce Pearl why would I want the Iowa job? I think the Tennessee job is by far the better job and has the brighter future right now. Why would I want to take the Iowa job where there is no talent right now and if I don't turn it around quickly the fans would turn on me as quick as they have their past several coaches. It's not a step up, it's probably somewhat of a step down from the job he has now.

I'm really curious to see who gets formal interviews and who winds up taking this job. I still think the Michigan job is more attractive than Iowa and wait here another week or so and their could be even more openings popping up.

I think we need to keep a close eye on where LE is at and track flights from there. From comments made on the "Underaged drinking at EIU" thread and associated 70% of EIU freshman and their binge drinking stat quoted in same thread, it looks to be a very good fit. Add in the fact that any legal troubles that EIU athletic department gets into is covered up to the extreme by law enforcement and the students/fans, Larry could party it up with the students whenever he wants and not have to worry about being caught.

Holy crap Martha, I might be on to something..

I would bet serious cash that the plane flew intp Bristol for the NASCAR race on Sunday. Probably someone with money that wanted to go down for the race and get back the same day.
Pretty funny that they are reaching that far though since Bristol is 100+ miles from Knoxville and a poor choice for an arrival destination considering all of the people in the area for the race.

After Pearl's "quasi two-nite stand" with Pat Summit (well, at the very least the mating ritual that occurred between the two, I don't think Pearl's going anywhere

On the Wichita thing...the FAA has a place there and Rockwell-Collins does lots of things with them, so it wouldn't shock me if it were a normal occurrence, depending on the ownership of the plane.

wichita flight going back to origination at 3:30...owner is not Rockwell or FAA.

also, there is a flight coming back into Cedar Rapids from New Mexico, that says it is the State of New Mexico plane. Must be coming to pick Stevo up later tonight.

Funny! The blind arrogance of EIU fans is once again demonstrated to the extreme.

Why aren't they looking for flights to Louisville? ESPN is saying that Rick Pitino is showing no interest in a return to Kentucky.

Quick, somebody run over to the EIU message boards and start the rumor that Pitino turned down Kentucky because he is interested in EIU. It won't take much for the rumor to shortly become fact.

I thought Bruce Pearl had been an Iowa assistant many years back. Long coattails.

if the new Iowa coach is suppose to perform either magic or a miracle with their program, maybe we should be looking for someone flying on a magic carpet or broomstick or someone who has lately parted The Red Sea...
