I was reading the other thread on this forum "Ranking Big 12 coaches". Looks like the concensus is that every body ranks GMac around the 5-6 spots in both XO and recuiting.

If this is the case, we will never be the conference contender in future, and our team is heading to midocre at the best. Is GMac a bad hire?

We are not going to be contenders over night, no he is not a bad hire, he is a great hire, the reason for putting him so low is because that is where he is after this season, you dont become a big 12 powerhouse in 1 year
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."
