Kevin Durant - Staying or Going?
ESPN reported that Kevin Durant is the Associated Press' college basketball player of the year, the first freshman to receive the honor.
After being named First Team All American and AP College Basketball Player of the Year, does he bolt for the NBA or does he stay one more season because he has some unfinished business (Big 12 conference & tournament title, NCAA Final 4 appearance)?
I'm hoping he would stay because I would like to see him in Hilton

Re: Kevin Durant - Staying or Going?
While it'll only make Texas harder to beat next year, I'd love for him to stay. I want to see this kid play in person before he goes to the NBA.

Me too AirWalke, but I just don't think it's happening.

A kid like that is too much fun to watch before the NBA corrupts him

Vapor.
If not, it'll be the biggest surprise since Rosie O'Donnell lost 80 pounds. Oh wait...she never did lose 80 pounds.

Re: Kevin Durant - Staying or Going?
He would be dumb not to leave...he is a lock to be the #1 or #2 pick overall in the NBA draft. He can't possibly improve his stock any higher.
That being said, I would LOVE to see him play in Hilton.

Greg Oden is a 1st team All-American and has a final 4 appearance (maybe even further after this weekend). I am not sure what the difference in salaries is between the #1 & #2 picks (although I would be very happy to live off that difference). If Oden decides to go pro does Durant also turn to the NBA, or does he wait 1 more season and then become the #1 pick?

I'd like to see him play as much as everyone else, but since we don't have Ceaser anymore, I think he'd be too much for our team to handle.

There is a monetary difference between the 1st pick and 2nd pick but it's not a huge amount. Also, the NBA has maximum rookie salaries. Durant will make 90% of his money off endorsements for the 1st 3 years of his NBA career.

Re: Kevin Durant - Staying or Going?
After watching Shawn Livingston's knee buckle like a belt this year, I can't blame anybody for leaving early. You never know what could happen.

Re: Kevin Durant - Staying or Going?
I would love it if Oden and Durant both stayed at least another year. Financially to go pro makes sense but I would not blame either if they stayed and I think it would make college hoops that much more fun to watch.

Going going going gone.... Money talks and he'll have multi millions coming.

Re: Kevin Durant - Staying or Going?
I think the chances of the Cubs winning the pennet are higher than Durant staying. Saw him play 3 games in OKC at the tourney. he is a great player and at times he is unstopable. He does look like he could put some weight on but so did Kevin Garnett when he was a rookie.
