Swagger

Of all of Dan McCarneys time, this was his swagger... i hope chizik can have many more plays like this.

Re: Swagger

that game was simply amazing, with danielson and Senecas "run" i also just watched Senecas Heisman video and it makes me wish we could have another Seneca to do exactly what he did.

Re: Swagger

To me, this wasn't swagger. Swagger is a belief, an attitude that last a whole season.

To start 6-1 and finish 1-6 - that's not swagger.

You are right about this. That play, and most of what Seneca did, was one player forcing a coach to think outside of his own box.

Unfortunately, as exciting the first 7 games were in 2002, the last 7 were equally as disappointing. Sometimes, even with a magical player, the overall talent cannot be overcome.

Ditto to everything. That young man was just simply incredible!

Re: Swagger

ok, well the first party of the season was swagger... i havent seen a 79 yard reverse taken to the house on a texas defense by an ISU white boy since then.. I remember that play happening AND senecas play... that made me feel like we could accomplish anything. last year we had no big plays, in 05 we had a few... Plus hearing pete taylor makes me happy

It was Texas Tech. And you are right I never get tired of hearing Pete Taylor.

The problem was that a great player, even as magical as Seneca was through 7 games that year. He was unable to overcome the fact that, as a team, we weren't as talented as the good teams in the league were that year. Unfortunately, that point was proven to be true in a painful fashion.
