Exclamation Burce V all over again

Does the current search for a Hawkeye basketball coach remind anybody else of the coaching search Bruce V did when he went to replace Larry.

Interviewing coaches and getting turned down. Having the message boards go crazy over a coach just to hear the coach say "sorry not interested".

Yes, it does bring back memories (mostly bad)!

I actually haven't heard much OFFICIAL word other than Pearl not being interested. When we hired Morgan, there were quite a few canidates that officially turned us down.

Re: Burce V all over again

I agree puckwarrior, I don't think the two situations are really that similar, yet.

Alford left for another job. He didn't resign under pressure because he got drunk with a bunch of college students from another university and subsequently called out on it and had it become a national story.

I'm no BVDV fan, but with the whole LE fiasco he was arguably in a much tougher situation than Barta is now.

Also Barta hasn't said a word which is smart. Everything we've been hearing is media and message board speculation.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I read "BVDV", all I really saw was DVDA.

Through the fire and the flames we'll carry on.

Bingo. Or, also as in the name of Matt and Trey's band.
