This thread covers the entire spectrum of hawk fan.... http://iowa.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?f...id=940&style=2
I can't wait to see how this search ends up. They are likely going to end up with a pretty good mid-major coach. Some will complain about not getting the big name coach, and some with say he is the basketball version of Kirk Ferentz. My only hope is that they end up with a split fan base yet again that won't let anybody succeed, no matter how successful they are (how deep is that, eh?) ;)-

Kirk could take a $2M pay cut to help hire Billy Donavon. Why not? Yeah, why not in Iowa City. It would put the EIUs on the map. Then they could draw their 13,000 rabid fans. They coiuld beat Michigan State and Drake again. Hell why not. Because Gary Barta is not a big hitter. He hits singles.
| EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl. |
