That's very interesting that Iowa State would allow such a product. Their trademark and brand standards are laid out thoroughly and go so far as to explicitly state that colors of other in-state institutions are not to be used in merchandising or publication (black is to be kept to a minimum, purple is never to be used).
I wonder if this is part of a general contract with Nike, which gives the company a bit of free range to create products that are common to their line. At any rate, Nike should not be shocked when they have boxes full of this when they end production.
ISU Foundation should throw a small fit about this with Nike before that product is used to show that ISU does not sell apparel well. No ISU fan is going to wear those hidious rags.
I apologize in advance to those of you/us with frugal grandparents. When those things hit the rack for $5 or less you know they are going to arrive on the front step as a gift for some random holiday.
