Since 2000 Florida has been to National Championship 3 times and won 2 times.
This next stat really makes me sick to my stomach.
The Number of championships the B12 has won in Basketball since KU won in 1988 = 0. That was almost 20 years ago.
Since 1989 number of championships per confererence. Correct me if I am wrong. We have had a Kansas, Texas, Okie State and Oklahoma make it to the Final 4 a bunch of times but can't seal the deal. I wish we could have got by Michigan State in 2000. We would have rolled that Final 4.
ACC =6
SEC = 5
Big East = 3
PAC 10 = 2
BIG 10 = 2
Moutian West (UNLV) Not sure if they belong in that conference then = 1
Somebody in the conference has to end this drought.
I know, but its not like the SWAC or the Big 8 won anything since 1988. I am just saying that we could use a championship. It would give the conference a little more credibilty I guess. Not that it matters.
I don't think it matters. Without that stat being pointed out to everyone, no one would know that. It's not like we're not respected at all. That will never be the case since we have Kansas.

Just a small point of clarification to your entry above. The SWAC is still alive (it is comprised of traditional black schools like Southern, Grambling, Jackson State, etc.)...It stands for Southwestern Athletic Conference.
I'm certain you are referring to the Southwestern Conference that is now defunct (which had Texas, A&M, etc.)...it went by the letters SWC.
I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

I think it is affecting how people view the conference and affects whether our bubble teams get in or where our teams are seeded. It's pretty embarrassing that no one has been able to get it done.
Does anyone know when the last time a current Big 12 team besides KU won a title? That's got to be ages ago.
If Kansas' &/or Texas' current rosters stick around next year, the Big 12 may get one. Those teams were loaded with underclassmen this year, as was Ohio State.
