Did anyone else catch him last week (or so) admit that he went to Southern Illinois, not Iowa? What a schmuck.

I think he was born in Eastern Iowa somewhere, and lived there for a while. But I think I heard he then moved to IL and lived there. Could be wrong.

Re: Marty and Miller and Jon Miller
BTW, I didn't say being a bandwagoner is bad. We have plenty of bandwagon fans, and their money is just as green as anyone elses. Just appears that the ratio of bandwagon fans is much higher with Iowa than it is with ISU.

Because they have a history of winning. I won't fault them for winning.
Winning creates bandwagon fans. We (ISU fans) desperately want to start winning.
Therefore, indirectly - we want more bandwagon fans.

I agree winning breeds bandwagon fans and we'd all secretly love to have more buying Cyclone merchandise and talking Cyclone sports around the state. But I'd have to insert the word "better" before "history" for Iowa. It's not like they've got 5 or 6 national titles in football or basketball under their belt. Relative to Iowa State? More winning history. Relative to a whole heck of a lot of other programs? Not that stellar. Unless, of course, you ask a Squawk fan. -
Re: Marty and Miller and Jon Miller
Right, this discussion is relative to ISU.

Re: Marty and Miller and Jon Miller
We do not want more Bandwagon fans... Bandwagon fans scream for the coaches head during the game when we are down by 1 in the first quarter. Bandwagon fans do not donate money, may not even go to the games, and only associate themselves with the team for a sense of belonging. Bandwagon fan is the fan that we all talk about wearing his oilstained black and yellow starter jacket, and hat. The only good thing about the bandwagon is that we have won enough games to attract them, but we certainly do not want them. I'll take the wins, but as for Badwagoners. Pass.

He know has ole' Lickliter down to Iowa's fifth choice, since Lowery turned them down, as he says he convinced.
I must say I've found a place for M&M just to get some semblance of balance onto the airwaves. I AGREE old Jonnie Boy is pure cheerleader on the airwaves. My Prediction: The eiu fanbase will run off Lickliter after he fails to win either a big 11 or national championship in his 3rd year!

Agree 100%, money from a bandwagon fan is green like the rest of the money, but how much money can you get off a McDonalds salary.
